Since I’m drinking from the fire hose, I thought it might be helpful to make a note of the videos and articles I found helpful, I will aim to update (and prune) regularly but do check the dates, this area is moving fast:
This is my YouTube playlist for all things Generative AI.
My main go-to YouTuber for AI news is Matt Wolfe.
Ethan Mollick is a great source of sensible information on AI, here’s an article from him on times to use (and not use) it.
A helpful prompting guide from Google.
And they have a free prompting course on Coursera – Google Prompting Essentials
If you don’t have the 9 hours the course says it takes though, here’s a 20 minute YouTube summary.
Note: I’m not keen on the whole acronyms to remember prompt elements bit. I’d rather just go with what works in the moment, but they’re okay trainer wheels.
If you want to explore your AI geek leanings with people you know are legit and careful with their tech, I recommend the IBM Technology YouTube channel.
For something a bit broader, you could take at look at the free Elements of AI course from the University of Helsinki and MinnaLearn.
